Krishna Sobti has passed away. She was Jnanpith winning Hindi writer. Passed away in New Delhi, she was 93 years old. She also received many awards like Padma Bhushana, Sahitya Akademi, Jnanpith. Following are her famous works- Mitro Marjani, Daar Se Bichchudi, Zindaginama, Badalom ke Ghere etc.

In Gujarat, Amul Camel Milk has been launched. This has been launched by Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation Limited. Camel milk is very healthy, it is rich is vitamin B1 and also rich in calcium. This milk is easy to digest and improves systemic immunity as well as improves gastrointestinal health.

Ahmad Wani got Ashoka Chakra award. Lance Ahmad Wani got this award for his role in a counter insurgency operation in Kashmir (last year). Ahmad Wani is the 1st Ashoka Chakra awardee from Kashmir. On 26th Jan 2019, Ram Nath Kovinda presented this award to his wife Mahajabeen.

Bengali writer Atin Bandyopadhyay passed away. He was the recipient of Sahitya Akademi Award for “Panchayati Galpo” short stotes(in the year 2001). Brain stroke was the reason for his death. Died at the age of 85. Nilkantha Pakhir, Nil Timi etc are also his famous fiction pieces.
